Form 5 & 6 Trip to Menorca 2009

 

Wednesday 13th May

 

Message received at 21:30 - All arrived safely and are happily settling in.

The hotel provided a buffet supper which was lovely and everybody was able to relax after the journey.

All had a good night and there were no problems.

 

Thursday 14th May

 

Today the weather is warm but overcast.

The children went kayaking and spent the rest of the day on the beach.

After Kayaking the instructors said how pleased they were with the progress the children had made in only one day.

They plan to go swimming in the pool this evening.

 

Friday 15th May

 

They had rain in the night, and during the day the weather was warm. In the afternoon it was windy.

In the morning they had an enjoyable visit to the Fort.

After lunch they went on a visit to the Zoo.

They have had a long swim this evening in the pool.

They are now waiting for the nightly show in the Hotel.

Everybody well and happy.

Saturday 16th May

 

Beautiful clear blue sky all day - 29 centigrade. Kayak party bravely went down to coast to next inlet. 3 Girls stayed behind on beach. Here is a picture of them getting ready to go (sent by mobile phone).

Saturday Evening: Everybody swam when they came back. Tonight will be watching a Parrot show. All well and eating heartily.
