District Swimming Gala 2009

 

On Monday 16th March, 20 children from Herington House went to the Brentwood School swimming pool to participate in the District Swimming Gala.

 

There were 14 schools at the gala, divided into three groups.  We were in the small schools group, along with Hutton All Saints, Warley, Mountnessing, Blackmore and Bentley St. Paul's.

 

All the children swam extremely well. 

 

When all the scores had been added up, it was announced that the Herington House girls team had achieved third place and the Herington House boys team had also achieved third place.  We were all delighted.

 

Special congratulations go to:

Morgan Wilson for winning the 1 length frontcrawl.

Charlotte Clews for coming second in the 1 length backcrawl.

James Kavanagh for coming second in the 1 length frontcrawl.

Ethan Marshell for coming third in the 1 length breaststroke.

 

I was very proud of all the children who swam.  For both teams to achieve third place is a tremendous achievement for such a small school.
